A unique Easter experience

From Monday 30 March to Sunday 5 April, the Monastery of Oia opens its doors to offer visitors a different and enriching experience. This Easter week, those who visit will be able to discover lesser-known spaces, previously inaccessible interior rooms, and historical curiosities that have remained hidden until now, becoming part of the story of one of Galicia’s most emblematic monuments.

The visits are guided by the Bretal Foundation, which combines heritage conservation with the cultural promotion of the Monastery. Throughout the tour, participants will receive detailed explanations about the architecture, history and daily life of the Monastery, making each visit unique and enriching.

“It is an ideal moment to come closer to the Monastery and discover its most secret corners, while enjoying the tranquillity of the gardens and the surrounding landscape,” the organisers highlight.

Practical information for visitors

The Monastery is currently in a state of consolidated ruin following various archaeological works, so visitors are advised to wear comfortable clothing and footwear suitable for safely exploring the different spaces and gardens.

Groups are small to ensure a personalised experience, guided by experts who explain all historical and architectural details of the Monastery.
