In 2021, we’re delighted to welcome visitors back to Oia Monastery with an exciting programme of guided tours and cultural events.
Guided visits once again include access to the permanent exhibition “The Prisoners of the Monastery: Memories of the Spanish Civil War”, alongside two thought-provoking Conversas. Antón Pombo will present “The Portuguese Coastal Way: Challenges for the Future”, while Fran Núñez will explore “Heritage Sites and the Performing Arts: Echoes of Memory.” Both events are free to attend, although advance booking via our website is required.
The biggest novelty this year is our Solpores concert series, which expands to eight performances. Every Saturday throughout the summer, enjoy live music spanning a variety of styles while watching the sunset with a complimentary glass of wine from Quinta de Couselo.
