The Royal Monastery of Oia presents its 2020 programme.
After what has felt like a very long wait, we are finally able to reopen the doors of Oia Monastery in 2020. Following months of work, we return with an exciting cultural programme.
This year’s guided tours will also include the exhibition “The Prisoners of the Monastery. Memory of the Spanish Civil War”, featuring testimonies left by Republican prisoners on the walls of the Monastery between 1937 and 1939.
We are bringing a full agenda of events, including A Emoción dos Viños, the pirate commemoration, and the celebration of Galician Literature Day. The Conversas series also returns, shedding light on this Site of Cultural Interest, and of course the Solpores—unique concerts accompanied by a glass of wine as the sun sets, with the ocean and the Monastery as witnesses.
