The aim is to offer visitors different ways to experience the Monastery. The new season will begin on <strong>Monday 3 April<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"398\" height=\"566\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mosteirodeoia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/image-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-49710\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mosteirodeoia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/image-2.png 398w, https:\/\/www.mosteirodeoia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/image-2-211x300.png 211w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 398px) 100vw, 398px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the new features are <strong>self-guided visits<\/strong>, a playful and engaging way to discover the site through a trail of clues accessed via QR codes, leading visitors through different areas of the Monastery. This new format is designed to be suitable for the whole family and complements the existing offer, which includes guided tours, group visits and school visits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s programme also includes <strong>four \u201cSolpores\u201d events<\/strong>, a distinctive way to experience the Monastery\u2019s sunset with live music and a glass of wine from <strong>Quinta de Couselo<\/strong>, a winery closely linked to Oia through its historical relationship with the Monastery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>\u201cConversas\u201d<\/strong> series also continues, this year adopting a more participatory approach. One example is <strong>\u201cA Oia do Futuro\u201d<\/strong>, a roundtable discussion bringing together local participants to reflect on the future of Oia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The popular <strong>\u201cA Emoci\u00f3n dos Vi\u00f1os\u201d<\/strong> returns for its <strong>13th edition<\/strong>, a two-day event dedicated to wine enthusiasts, taking place on <strong>Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 June<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Between May and September, the successful live-action game returns under a new name: <strong>TEMPESTAE<\/strong>. This immersive experience, which includes costumes and a light aperitif, offers a unique way of engaging with the Monastery\u2019s history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another new addition is <strong>\u201cDrawing Oia Monastery\u201d<\/strong>, a day dedicated to artists who will interpret and depict the Monastery on site. Participation is by prior registration and the event will take place in May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tickets are available at: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fundacionbretal.com\">www.fundacionbretal.com<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All these new initiatives coincide with the launch of the <strong>Fourth Sustainability Report<\/strong>, a document that reflects a broader commitment beyond environmental concerns. Published annually, it reviews the activities and improvements carried out by the Monastery, as well as key data from the 2022 season, during which more than <strong>7,000 visitors<\/strong> attended guided tours, group visits, school visits and events. Over the past four years, the Monastery has welcomed a total of <strong>26,500 visitors<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Promoting a circular economy remains one of its core objectives, as outlined in the report, which highlights collaborations with local businesses whenever possible, as well as local hiring practices aimed at supporting employment in the surrounding area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The document reflects a commitment to economic, social, cultural and environmental sustainability.
